Retro gaming seems to be misunderstood by the public and some gamers as well.
I'm writing this journal entry because I had a little conversation lately with a class buddy (big up Paul!) whom I told I played Megaman 2. He wouldn't believe that such an old game could interest anybody nowadays, regarding the technology progress there has been since.
So, I will try to explain here the reason why I play retro games as much as I play 'recent' games.
First of all I must clarify myself : I am not going to try to convince you that old games are the best, and that the current games are barely worth calling 'video games'.
